Starseed: Asnia Trigger Ended Its Content Roadmap With No Shutdown Date, Then Put a 30-Day Battle Pass on Sale

The notice ending every future content update for Starseed: Asnia Trigger went live at 03:45 on July 23, 2026, on Hive board post 7/2718. It names no shutdown date, and its third sentence pre-empts the reading most players reached for anyway: "this does not mean the end of service. The game will continue to operate normally."
Nothing actually changed on July 22 or July 23 beyond the patch itself. The Yume update shipped on the normal Wednesday maintenance, Jul. 22 PDT / Jul. 23 UTC, and the service kept running its ordinary weekly cycle for the next two weeks, store rotation included. The operating structure changes at the August 5 PDT / UTC maintenance, and that is the only forward date in the document.
The game is made by MOJITO GAMES, a subsidiary of JOYCITY, and published by Com2uS. The board footer credits copyright to JOYCITY Corp. Com2uS is not the developer, and the notice itself names no company at all.
What the notice says, and what it refuses to say
The post is titled "Notice Regarding Future Updates and Service Operations" and is signed by the game's GM team. The operative passage is short:
"With the Yume update scheduled for Jul. 22 PDT / Jul. 23 UTC, Starseed: Asnia Trigger will conclude all future Proxyan and content updates. However, we would like to clarify that this does not mean the end of service. The game will continue to operate normally."
The stated reason is capacity, not revenue. The team writes that "due to practical limitations, we have reached a point where it is no longer possible to provide satisfying long-term content updates", and that it would be "unable to maintain a stable level of quality while continuing to develop new content".
One framing needs correcting before anything else, including on this site. "Maintenance mode" is a label the press and this outlet applied. It appears nowhere in the notice. That matters because the label implies a bounded state with an exit, and no bounded period was ever declared. There is no announced end to maintenance mode because maintenance mode was never announced. What exists is an open-ended content freeze with the servers left up and no date attached in either direction.

What stops and what continues, from August 5
| Area | Status after the August 5 maintenance |
|---|---|
| New Proxyans | Stopped. Yume is the last |
| Content updates | Stopped, all categories |
| New Proxyan Pickups | Stopped |
| Special Select Pickups | Continue, weekly rotation |
| Events | Bingo, Match Pairs, Poster, Roulette, Workshop, Item Search, rotating every two weeks |
| Cash shop | "Sales of certain pass products will end, while other products will continue to be available through weekly rotations." No product named, no closure date |
| Critical bug fixes | Continue |
| Customer support | Continues |
| Servers | Stay up, open-ended, no date |
Yume closes a roster that added Jacky in the March integration patch and Solene on June 23, whose teaser went up under the title "Solene and the Beanstalk". Everything already collected stays playable and stays upgradeable. Nothing in the notice touches account data, progression or existing units.

Source: in-game capture or Hive board 7 event post (07-22-2026). No official video asset verified on @STARSEED_ASNIA_TRIGGER_GL. -->The pickup change is the one with real pull-planning consequences. Rate-ups do not end, they narrow: the weekly Special Select Pickups become the only banner mechanic, drawing on units already in the game. SSR Proxyan Select Tickets carry their own boundary, excluding the Creator and Destroyer units and any "Proxyans released after Yui". Yui is the ticket cutoff, and the Creator/Destroyer list is Mea, Rayhou, Marillight, Eradica, Frederica, Leia and Machina.

What happens to your money
The notice says nothing. No refund scheme, no currency conversion, no reimbursement of unspent Starbits, no statement on the storefront's future, no store closure date. That silence is the finding, and it is verified against the full text rather than inferred from a partial read.
The only gesture is a free Yume, delivered as the Day 1 reward of the Vacation Week 7-Day Check-In Calendar Event posted July 22. The operator declines to frame it as compensation, calling it "a token of our gratitude" and adding that "we know this gesture alone cannot fully express our appreciation".
Set that against the receipt. On July 29 at 09:00, six days after the roadmap was declared over, board post 7/2794 renewed the full commercial cycle.
| Product | Terms |
|---|---|
| Battle Pass | On sale Jul. 31, 5:00 PM to Aug. 30, 4:59 PM PDT |
| Superboost Pack I to III | Live in the cycle, contain Starbit (Paid) |
| Proxyan and Growth Smart Packs (BTGO) | Live in the cycle |
| Credit, Plugin Piece and Advanced Skill Core All-In Packs | Live in the cycle |
| Vacation Week LE Pack I to III, Vacation Week Time Deal | Live in the cycle, several ending "before the maintenance on Aug. 5" |
A 30-day paid pass went on sale after the content roadmap ended, and it runs 25 days past the changeover that ends new content entirely. Whatever the pass is worth to a player buying it on July 31, the company selling it has published no commitment about what happens to the account holding it.
The correct statement about the store is narrow. Certain pass products end at the August 5 maintenance. Other products move to weekly rotation. Nothing beyond that has been announced, which means there is no pending closure date to wait for, because no closure has been announced at all.

Four months before the freeze, the game folded its regional services into one. This is the part of the story every English write-up has skipped, and without it the phrase "practical limitations" reads as boilerplate instead of as the end of a documented sequence.
Region Integration was originally attached to the March 5, 2026 update and was pushed back, with the operator citing that "additional technical review is required to ensure optimal service performance". A security incident surfaced during the process: a compromised PC, separate from the live servers, with the operator stating that "no abnormal access logs or risk factors were found" and that player data remained encrypted. The Huawei build was discontinued the same day, March 5, because Huawei login would not survive the merge.
The merge completed in the March 11, 4:55 PM to March 12, 03:00 AM PST maintenance, shipped alongside the Jacky update and a Server Integration account selection flow, plus integration compensation, Proxyan Chain Buff, Plugin EX Boost Effect, Transcend Gear and Gear Specialization. The storefront had already been restricted ahead of it: an advance notice on store usage due to Region Integration was published for February 20.
What the merge left behind is checkable in one click. community.withhive.com/starseed_gb/en, the Global community board, now returns "The service has been discontinued or is currently not available". Verified August 1, 2026. Every Global deep link in search results is dead, and English-speaking players are served from the starseed_jp board, which offers 17 languages. The Global service, as a distinct product with its own board and its own store listing, stopped existing in March.

Twenty months, four countries
The Korean version launched March 28, 2024. The international version followed on October 31, 2024, and only in four countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Philippines. Calling that a worldwide launch overstates it, and the frequently repeated "roughly two years of service" figure does not fit either: October 31, 2024 to July 23, 2026 is about 20 months. The two-year framing belongs to the Korean run, which is closer to 28 months.
Genre labelling is inconsistent enough to be worth flagging. Enduins files it as an idle RPG, Game8 as RPG, Strategy, Gacha and Anime, Pocket Gamer described it at launch as an urban fantasy RPG with turn-based battles, and Com2uS's own release said collectible RPG. Collectible RPG is the safe neutral term. Nothing sourced supports calling it a sci-fi gacha RPG, and no source anywhere positions it against any other title.
Structurally: the player is the Architect, the units are Proxyans drawn from seven factions, the antagonist force is the Redshift, and the premium currency is the Starbit, tracked separately as Paid and Free.

The sequence, in dates
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| March 28, 2024 | Korean launch |
| October 31, 2024 | International launch, USA, Canada, UK and Philippines only |
| February 20, 2026 | Advance notice on store usage due to Region Integration, storefront restricted |
| March 5, 2026 | Region Integration delayed. Huawei build discontinued |
| March 7, 2026 | Operator addresses the delay and the compromised PC |
| March 11, 4:55 PM to March 12, 03:00 AM PST, 2026 | Region Integration completes, Jacky update, account selection shipped |
| March 12, 2026 | Global store listing retired (T3) |
| June 23, 2026 | Solene teaser, last new Proxyan before the final one |
| Jul. 22 PDT / Jul. 23 UTC, 2026 | Yume update, final content update |
| July 22, 2026 | Vacation Week 7-Day Check-In Calendar Event posted, free Yume as Day 1 |
| July 23, 2026, 03:45 | Content freeze announced |
| July 29, 2026, 09:00 | Store cycle renewed, Battle Pass on sale Jul. 31 to Aug. 30 PDT |
| August 5, 2026 PDT / UTC | Maintenance applying the service operation changes |
| No further date | None announced. No end of service date exists |
The last row is the one to read twice. Wind-downs normally arrive with a runway: a purchase cutoff, a final event, a server date. This has none of the three.

Three things that would move this page
A purchase cutoff. An end-of-sales date is the single clearest signal that a content freeze is a wind-down rather than a steady state. It would appear as a Notice post on board 7 before it appears anywhere else. None exists as of August 1, 2026.
The Battle Pass cycle after August 30. The current pass expires August 30, 4:59 PM PDT. If a new one goes on sale in the following days, the shop is being operated as a going concern past the freeze. If nothing replaces it, that absence is the first hard evidence of a commercial retreat, and it is datable to within a week.
Any statement at all on Starbit balances. Paid Starbits are still being sold and have never been addressed. A conversion scheme, an expiry, or an explicit "balances are unaffected" would each change what a spender should do this month. Silence continuing into September is itself an answer.
FAQ
Is Starseed: Asnia Trigger shutting down? No. The operator states directly that this "does not mean the end of service" and that the game "will continue to operate normally". No end-of-service date has been announced.
When does the maintenance mode end? The question does not have an answer because no bounded period was ever declared. "Maintenance mode" is press shorthand and does not appear in the official notice. What was announced is an open-ended content freeze with no end date in either direction.
When was this announced, July 22 or July 23? July 23, 2026, at 03:45, per the board timestamp on the notice. July 22 PDT / July 23 UTC is the date of the Yume update, which is a different thing.
What changes on August 5? New Proxyan Pickups stop. Six events, Bingo, Match Pairs, Poster, Roulette, Workshop and Item Search, begin rotating every two weeks. Special Select Pickups rotate weekly. Certain pass products stop being sold, other shop products move to weekly rotation. Critical bug fixes and customer support continue.
Can I still spend money, and will I be refunded? Purchases were still live as of August 1. The Battle Pass is on sale from July 31 to August 30 PDT, and packs containing paid Starbits are in the current rotation. No refund, conversion or compensation scheme has been announced for money already spent, and the notice does not mention paid currency at all.
Has a store closure date been published? No. Certain pass products end at the August 5 maintenance. Nothing has been said about closing the store.
What was the final content update? The Yume update, live Jul. 22 PDT / Jul. 23 UTC 2026. Yume is the last new Proxyan the game will receive.
How do I get Yume for free? She is the Day 1 reward of the Vacation Week 7-Day Check-In Calendar Event, posted July 22. Logging in claims her.
Why can I not open the Global community board any more?
Because the Global service was merged into the unified service in the March 11 to 12, 2026 maintenance. community.withhive.com/starseed_gb/en now returns "The service has been discontinued or is currently not available". English players use the starseed_jp board.
Who actually makes this game? MOJITO GAMES, a subsidiary of JOYCITY. Copyright is credited to JOYCITY Corp. Com2uS is the publisher, not the developer.
